Completed in 1989, this 12-story office building comprises 485,000 square feet. Its exterior is clad in Indiana buff limestone and features massive 11-story columns, a French mansard roof, and ornamental cresting. The three-story lobby includes six freestanding tapered fluted limestone columns that extend to the full lobby height, a floor finished with bands of green marble and a black-and-white checkerboard marble pattern, and limestone wall cladding with black marble inlays and semiprecious red jasper accents. The lobby ceiling is coffered and incorporates illuminated translucent glass panels to create a skylight effect. The building is located across from Franklin Park in Washington, D.C.’s central business district, one block from the Metro Center Red, Blue, Silver, and Orange Line stations.
