R-1 - SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT This district is intended to provide for Single-Family Residential areas with relatively low population densities. Additional uses, permitted upon review of the Board of Zoning Appeals, include uses and facilities normally required to provide the basic elements of a balanced and attractive residential area. These areas are intended to be defined and protected from the encroachment of uses not performing a function necessary to the residential environment. 3.3.5 R-1A & R-2 - SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS These districts are intended to permit the development and maintenance of low to medium-density single-family residences and appropriate accessory uses in areas that have suitable physical characteristics, where adequate infrastructure is or can be made available, and has adequate street access.
