Wall signs. b. Ground mounted signs. c. Post signs. d. Directories. e. Temporary signs. 2. Number of signs: a. Single tenant Buildings: i. Wall signs. One per building wall with street frontage. A second wall sign on a building with one street frontage is permissible provided the total square footage of both walls signs does not exceed 50 square feet, or one square foot for each lineal foot of building wall or lease space on which the sign is erected, whichever results in the smaller total sign area. ii. Ground Mounted or Post Sign. One per street frontage of lot. b. Shopping Center or Multi-tenant Buildings: i. Wall signs. One per tenant. Increased to two per tenant occupying a corner where there are two building walls with street frontage. ii. Ground Mounted/Post Sign/Directories. One per street frontage of lot. c. Size of signs: i. Wall signs: The maximum total sign area of a wall sign shall be 50 square feet, or one square foot for each lineal foot of building wall or lease space on which the sign is erected, whichever results in the smaller sign area. ii. Ground mounted signs, post signs and directories shall not exceed 50 square feet per face per street frontage and total sign area shall not exceed 100 square feet total for all sign faces. iii. The total sign area allowed will not exceed one (1) square foot per foot of lineal frontage of the lot. The frontage being determined by the principal entrance to the premises and on only one side of the lot on a corner. iv. The individual letters, numerals, symbols, and characters utilized on changeable copy signs, both electronic and manual, shall not exceed twenty-four (24) inches in height. d. Location: i. Wall signs shall not project more than 12 inches from the face of the building. ii. Ground mounted, post and directory signs shall be set back a minimum of one foot from the right-of-way and outside the sight visibility triangle. Ground signs must be located on the same lot as the business or shopping center, except that a multi-tenant ground sign may be located on an outparcel lot of a shopping center within an easement. Approval of a variance by the board of adjustment is required to locate a ground sign off premise. iii. There shall not be more than one ground mounted, directory or post sign per 100 lineal feet of street frontage.
