This wooded hunting land offers tremendous hunting opportunities due to its topography, habitat, trails, and location. Situated just west of Coffey on State Highway B, access is a key feature. A cleared trail begins at a small parking area near the road access and leads down a ridge towards the creek near the northwest end of the tract. Another trail travels up and across the main ridge to the east boundary. The trail system is flanked by thick, brushy cover along the ridge, with impressive hardwood trees on the sidehills, creek bottom, and drainages. Hunters will appreciate the abundant oak species, plus other hardwoods like hickory, hackberry, locust and others. The combination of woody browse and hardwood mast supports a healthy deer population, something that this area is known for. In addition to the native food, there are areas that could be cleared for hidey hole type food plots. A creek along the north boundary provides a permanent water source for the wildlife.
