Section 712 Highway Commercial District (HC) 712.1 Purpose The Highway Commercial District includes the lands along the U.S. Route One East of the cement plant. The pur- pose of the district is to provide an area suitable for highway-oriented general sales, services and businesses.. The intent is that the scale of future development in this area is in keeping with the needs of the region and the mainte- nance of a viable commercial district in Thomaston’s village center.
