Permitted signs: 1) One primary wall sign for each tenant in the structure. 2) One secondary wall sign for each separate entrance to the structure of frontage on a street or parking area, except there shall be no more than two (2) secondary signs for each structure. Secondary signs may not be erected on the same wall as the principal sign. 3) One directory sign for each separate entrance. 4) Window signs and awning signs. 5) One primary roof sign or one primary free-standing sign per lot. In the case of roof signs and free-standing signs having two sides, both sides shall include identical language only. 13-12 6) In addition to any free-standing signs permitted by Section 13.9.1.5, one free- standing sign per lot that identifies the name of one or more developments or projects located in a Technology and Business Mixed Use Overlay District that is adjacent to the Interstate Business District in which the lot is located. Such a sign may also identify the name(s) of individual business(es) located within such developments or projects, but may not identify the year(s) the developments or projects were established or contain any slogans related to the developments or projects, nor may it advertise the sale or letting of such developments or projects or any part(s) thereof. No more than six (6) developments, projects, and/or businesses may be included on any sign face, and if the sign has two (2) faces, each face shall have the same text and design. (added 6/15/2022) 2. Dimensional Requirements: 1) Primary wall signs: Total area of all primary wall signs shall be no greater than twenty (20) percent of the facade of the first two stories of the structure. Where more than one tenant occupies the same structure, the permissible area of the primary sign specified above may be divided among two or more tenants. For the purposes of this section, a structure shall be considered to have one (1) façade and that being the side of the structure located along the front lot line.* *(See definition for front lot line, Sec. 2.) 2) Secondary wall signs: Area of all secondary wall signs shall be no greater than one-half the area permissible for the primary wall sign. 3) Directory signs: Area shall be no greater than one (1) sq. ft. per occupant or tenant. 4) Awning signs: Sign lettering shall not occupy more than twenty (20) percent of the awning area. 5) Window signs: Area shall not exceed twenty-five (25) percent of the window in which it is located.
