A. C-1 district: Any use permitted in a residential district including mobile homes, trailers and trailer parks; providing, however, the zoning enforcing officer determines such uses meet the requirements of subsections 10-4-3 A2 and A3 and section 10-4-6 of this title. Automotive and related uses: new and used car sales, service and repair, gasoline filling stations, motorcycle and bicycle shops, cab and bus stands and depots. Business and advertising signs pertaining to the business on the property on which the sign is located; providing, that: 1) illumination of all signs shall be diffused or indirect and shall be arranged so as not to reflect direct rays of light into adjacent residential districts or into the public way; and 2) that any sign located in the direct line of vision of any traffic control signal shall not have flashing, intermittent, red, green or amber illumination. Business and professional offices: medical and dental offices and clinics, law offices, insurance and real estate offices, banks, finance and utility companies. Food, drug and beverage: grocery stores, supermarkets, meat markets, drugstores and package liquor stores, bakery in conjunction with retail sales, restaurants, tearooms, taverns, lounges, restaurants, clubs, reception halls, banquet halls, package liquor stores, and brewpubs. Major retail outlets: furniture, department, clothing, shoe and variety stores, hardware, appliance, paint, wallpaper and retail outlet for trees, shrubbery, lawn and garden seeds, fertilizer for the lawn and related lawn and garden items. Multiple retail or service oriented business outlets or strip malls that are housed in a single building which contains multiple separate but independent business spaces located within such single building for business uses permitted in a C-1 district. Service and recreation: motels and hotels, laundromats, dry cleaning and laundry pick up stations, barber and beauty shops, shoe repair and tailor shops, mortuaries, newspaper publishing, printing shops with not more than ten (10) full time regular employees, storage and transfer establishments, places of amusement and assembly, commercial recreation. Sheet metal, plumbing and heating sales and service and electrical shops; provided, that operations of these businesses shall be limited in time from seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. to seven o'clock (7:00) P.M., and further provided, that the storage and warehousing of goods and materials shall be limited to the interior of the building and not stored on the outside.
