The intent of the I-2 district is to accommodate general industrial uses, developed in such a manner that these uses have no detrimental effects beyond the zone district in which they are located. (Ord. 149 Art. 15 §1, 1973) 17-26-020 - Permitted uses; by right. The following uses are permitted by right in the I-2 district, provided that they are conducted in a manner which confines all dust, fumes, odors, refuse matter, smoke, vapor, noise, lights, glare, and vibrations within the boundaries of the I-2 district in which they are located: (A) Office and commercial uses permitted by right in the I-1 district (section 17-24-020 , B.M.C.), except for day-care facilities, including child day care facilities, and also permitting the following: (1) Animal hospitals, day-cares or kennels when at least 200 feet from residential-zoned property; (2) Building supply yards, or contractor storage yards enclosed and screened by a fence or wall as defined in section 17-32-140 , B.M.C.; (3) Gas stations, service stations or car wash facilities. (4) Nurseries and greenhouses and including retail sales. (B) Institutional, public, and service uses permitted by right in the I-1 district (section 17-24-020 , B.M.C.), and also permitting the following: (1) Public and private utilities and facilities with outdoor storage or operations.
