The M-1 district is intended to accommodate wholesale trade establishments, warehouses, and light manufacturing uses. Light manufacturing uses Article 2 Zoning Districts and Official Zoning Map 35 generally consist of establishments for processing, assembling, fabricating, preparing, distributing, cleaning, servicing, testing, or repairing of materials, goods or products. Certain commercial uses having an open storage characteristic, or which are most appropriately located adjacent to industrial uses, are also permitted uses within this zoning district, such as but not limited to contractor establishments and auto service and repair. This district is intended to be compatible with and implement the industrial workplace character area described in the comprehensive plan. (b) Permitted and conditional uses. Permitted and conditional uses shall be as specified in Table 2-1B, “Use Regulations for Commercial and Industrial Zoning Districts.” (c) Dimensional requirements. Height, setback, lot area, density, intensity, and other requirements for development within the zoning district shall be as specified in Table 2- 2B, “Dimensional Requirements for Commercial and Industrial Zoning Districts.”
