Design and construction were completed by Settje Agri-Services and Engineering. The property also has a sorting alley with hydraulic gates, all-steel holding and processing pens, and a micro-processing computer terminal. Receiving and shipping are facilitated by a double alley with two load-out chutes and enclosed shipping pens with a state-certified scale. An additional receiving and loadout facility with a hydraulic chute is located in the north pens. Waste water control, per the state-approved permit, includes a synthetic-lined holding pond, two debris basins, and a lift station to pump effluent to a center pivot system. There is a 70' truck scale, a large concrete pad for feed storage, a covered distillers shed, and two large bunkers for silage and high-moisture corn. Additional structures include two large machinery sheds and an office/shop building, as well as 60,000-bushel steel bin grain storage. The property has abundant water resources, including one irrigation well, one domestic well for the home, one well to monitor groundwater quality, and four stock wells. The residence is a brick ranch-style home with 2,359 square feet on the main floor and a full, partially finished basement. Built in 1976, it has been recently updated and modernized, including a new roof and garage doors. The main floor features three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, living room, dining room, office, and laundry room. The basement area has two bedrooms, a family room, and a storage area. Additional features include a sunroom with a hot tub, a fireplace, an attached two-car garage, and an automatic sprinkler system. Settje has drafted blueprints for three potential expansions: north (4,500 head), east (6,000 head), and southwest (5,500 head).
