Overview
Blue Ridge Parkway Inn & Lodge
This 4.1418-acre property, formerly known as the Woodberry Inn, is located near Meadows of Dan, the historic Mabry Mill, and just south of Chateau Morrisette, off the Blue Ridge Parkway at approximately Milepost 174. The property offers redevelopment potential into a luxury mountain resort. It features a commercial well and septic system servicing all buildings, a scenic pond, and three separate structures. The main building, a former restaurant totaling 4,302 sq ft, includes a 2,602 sq ft main level with two plumbed-in restrooms, a kitchen with walk-in cooler, and a 1,700 sq ft lower level with one plumbed-in bathroom, and a partial unfinished basement. The interior is stripped to subfloor and framing, except for the kitchen. Electric and plumbing are roughed-in. The kitchen is fully functional. This structure features a block foundation, shingle roof, stucco exterior, heat pump, and multiple decks and covered porches. Originally built in 1950, it was expanded, remodeled, and converted to the Woodberry Inn around 1986. The second building is a recently remodeled single-level 4-unit structure with approximately 1,200 sq ft, stucco exterior, metal roof, mini-split heating/cooling per unit, tile and finished concrete floors, drywall, and private decks for each unit. These units are completed and ready for guests and are in excellent condition. The third building is a two-level, 12-unit structure with approximately 4,100 square feet, gutted and ready for completion, with subflooring, 2x4 framing, bathrooms plumbed in, rough-in electric, stucco exterior, shingle roof, and heat pump. This property presents an opportunity for hospitality, residential, or mixed-use development.
