Overview
Texas Ranch with Scenic Views
The Black Canyon Ranch is situated within the historic Leona Ranch, approximately 14 miles north of Brackettville, Texas, off Highway 674. Access to the ranch, located about 4 miles from Highway 674, is facilitated by a recorded easement via a caliche road. Positioned on the southern edge of the Edwards Plateau, the ranch is known for its abundant whitetail deer, turkey, and free-range exotics. Significant elevation changes create high locations with long-range scenic views, complemented by large canyons that contribute to the rugged and scenic terrain. The vegetation primarily consists of live oak and cedar, with a mix of Edwards Plateau and south Texas brush. In addition to the deer population, the ranch is inhabited by turkey, feral hog, quail, dove, and free-range exotics such as Axis and Aoudads. The property includes a main ranch house, which is a hybrid manufactured home with a wood and metal frame bunk house add-on. The main house area is situated on a roughly 40,000 square foot concrete pad and features 4 bedrooms, 1 bunk room, 3 baths, a kitchen, and a living room. There is over 13,000 square feet of covered area, including the 3200 square foot main house, a large covered outdoor kitchen entertainment area and bar, a 10-foot by 40-foot screened front porch, a 2000 square foot dog kennel, a game cleaning table and sink, an outdoor shower, a 1600 square foot enclosed storage room, and a 4500 square foot workshop and equipment shed. Additional features include a land telephone line, satellite TV, a water well with a submersible pump, and a 1500-gallon propane tank. Some bunkhouse furniture will convey.
