Shasta Marina at Packers Bay is a vacation houseboat rental facility. The marina has been under the same ownership for 23 years, starting as Shasta Marina Resort in 1996 at O’Brien Inlet. In 2015, the current owners purchased Packers Bay Marina and combined the two businesses, moving operations from O’Brien Inlet to Packers Bay. This transition involved removing the old Packers Bay Marina from the O’Brien Inlet location and disposing of all structures and docks. Over the past few years, the owners have made intensive facility upgrades and renovations, building a new dock system, facility infrastructure, as well as new floating and fixed buildings. Shasta Lake, the state’s largest man-made reservoir, is considered the house boating capital of California. The marina is located 2 miles from I-5 and enjoys a strategic location as the hub on the lake, offering easy access to all arms of the lake. It is also adjacent to a major public launch ramp, bringing fuel and retail income to the marina. Gas, ice, groceries, beer, wine, fishing tackle, souvenirs and apparel can be purchased seven days a week, year-round. The facility size is 3444 square feet.
