This authorization allows guided hunts and wilderness camp operations across approximately 48,000 acres of Rocky Mountain habitat for elk, mule deer, black bear, and moose. Located near Trappers Lake, the lodge welcomes guests to a setting largely unchanged by time. Several cabins date back to the 1800s and have been thoughtfully restored. The main lodge features a full-service restaurant and bar. Additional infrastructure includes a general store, bathhouse, laundry facilities, staff housing, and a barn and corral. The lodge is powered by generators and supplied by mountain spring water. Guests visit for guided hunts, horseback adventures, fly fishing, wildlife viewing, and backcountry experiences.
