Constructed in the early 1900s by the Burton family, this building initially served as the Burton Mercantile, utilizing brick from their local factory. The original two-story structure accommodated various businesses. After a fire in 1930, the building was rebuilt as a single story, retaining its 5,500-square-foot lower level.
