The Armstrong Hotel, constructed in 1902 by Andrew Armstrong Jr., is located on Highway 90 in the center of Hondo, Texas. Originally built for railroad workers and patrons, the hotel later expanded with 10 additional rooms to accommodate military personnel stationed at the Hondo Air Force Base. The Armstrong family owned the property until 1952, when it was sold to John Kalinoski, a Polish refugee and former employee. Kalinoski and his wife renovated the hotel over the years until selling it in 1992. The hotel and other buildings are currently used for retail stores. The property size is 9246 square feet.
