    Overview

    The North Junction City Tram Tract is a 70-acre parcel of timberland located in southwestern Union County, just north of Junction City, AR. The topography features upland hills sloping downwards in an easterly direction. Access is available via a gated woods road running northeasterly from McCorvey Loop RD for just over a half-mile up to the northwestern portion of the tract. An old RR tram runs along the eastern edge of the parcel for nearly 700 yards, offering additional potential access. The majority of the property contains a well-stocked stand of natural pine timber that was thinned during the summer of 2025. The northeastern portion features approximately 8.5 acres of wetland habitat. About 12 acres of a mostly hardwood creek drain runs through the northern portion of the property, providing a diverse wildlife edge. A pipeline right-of-way, approximately 20 feet in width, bisects the northwestern portion of the property. According to the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the soil composition of the property contains an assortment of fine sandy loams, giving the tract a weighted average site index of 89.1 feet for Loblolly Pine. The property boundary lines are marked with red and yellow paint.
