The Trinity Retreat, a private and corporate retreat and hunting plantation, is located in Russell County, south of Ft. Mitchell, Alabama, on the Chattahoochee River and the Georgia state line. The property features rolling terrain and timber. It is suited for use as a hunting plantation, private and corporate retreat, and for recreation on the Chattahoochee River, with potential mineral reserves, conservation easement potential, and timber investment opportunities. The property consists of approximately 1,212 acres and has been owned by only two owners since the Creek Indians. It features 1.325 miles of frontage on the Chattahoochee River, over two miles on Snake Creek, and 10.7 miles of groomed trails for hiking and access. The property is surrounded by large land owners including Ft Mitchell, Ft Benning, and the Capps Holdings. The property offers duck hunting opportunities, an unparalleled turkey population, and a deer population. Timber was appraised for over $1000 per acre in July of 2024. The property includes old growth hardwoods and planted pine from 5 to 20 years old. It is located 20 miles from the Columbus/Phoenix City Area, 2 hours from Atlanta Airport, and 1.5 hours from Montgomery, Alabama. There is a 35 acre inlet on Snake Creek. The terrain has a 100 ft grade of gently rolling terrain, from 190 ft at the river to 290 ft at the highest point, ravines, hardwood bottoms, and a waterfall. Structures on the property include the 2,596 square foot pilgrim house, the 1,350 square foot boiler house shop/residence, and the historic Father Judge Chapel. 445 acres, or 38% of the tract, is located within the Zone A (100 Year) Flood Plain, and 94 acres, or 8% of the tract, is classified as wetlands. There are 9,000' via Norfolk Southern Railway and 7,000' via Holy Trinity Road.
