Several lakes offering recreational opportunities, such as Wister Lake State Park, Cedar Lake, Broken Bow Lake, and Sardis Lake, are a short drive away. Fort Smith, Arkansas, is a 1-hour drive, and Tulsa, Oklahoma, is about 2.5 hours away. The property has all-weather and legal access. Poteau Mountain Road and Strip Pit Road form the East and part of the South property boundary, and a private road forms the North property boundary. A seasonal stream flows through the property, and there are several locations suitable for constructing a pond for a year-round water source. The land is covered with a stand of timber native to Southwestern Arkansas, primarily a diverse variety of mast-producing oak trees and a scattering of young native shortleaf pine and saw log size native shortleaf pine trees. The property offers a diverse variety of wildlife habitat, ranging from areas where the timber stand has been thinned to more open closed canopy forest areas, with flat to gently sloping terrain. Several spots would be ideal for constructing a recreational cabin. Wildlife are frequently seen on this property. There are no deed restrictions. The property is off-grid.
